BOARDROOMS & AUDITORIUMS

Nowadays, working groups require intelligent information analysis for the company’s decision-making. This can be achieved with tools that facilitate remote interaction with partners, as well as visual elements displaying the presented information. These elements can increase the functionality of a Boardroom, turning it into a War Room or Meeting Room, among others.

The Boardrooms can integrate projectors, screens, microphones, interactive panels, videoconferencing, teleprescence, lighting, audio systems and touch panels to control the installed elements. All this equipment is adapted and integrated by a design in which Grupo Covix and the user collaborate to achieve the room’s complete automation and control. The audiovisual equipment of a Boardroom is automated so that it is possible to take full control of the entire room functions from an interactive multi-touch screen. This way, it is possible to control the audio, video, lighting, curtains, air conditioning, and virtually any installed electronic device.

It is really important to keep a Boardroom’s table clean. Cables and accessories must be hidden under the table, with the ability to use an interface that comes out form the table, containing all necessary connections, allowing one or more laptops to be deployed. This and more functionality can be added, like a fully equipped and automated control system that allows us to operate the room in a simple manner; freeing us from remotes that might make the room’s operation complicated.

Training Rooms

The Training Rooms are a vital part of any Institution or Company that always seeks to improve the skills and knowledge of its employees. These Rooms must have everything necessary to make the best use of the courses, seminars, workshops or talks given in them.

For a correct use of the Training Rooms, it is important to have a good organization that begins from a System of rooms, to the correct equipment of furniture and technology like: chairs and special tables, automation systems for blinds, audio, microphones, lighting, etc.

In these Rooms different technologies can be integrated such as: ScreensProjectors, Collaboration Systems, Audio and Video, Microphones, A/V accessories for tables, Furniture, Rooms section, Videoconference, etc.

Council Rooms

The Council Rooms are designed and created for the exclusive use of Executives, CEOs, VPs, etc., that is why this type of Rooms must have a Design, Furniture and equipment of the latest technology.

Generally speaking, a Board Room is of considerable size; it is not a small room, but a room with more than 12 participants and can hold up to 30 or more people sitting in it. They are characterized by having a table in the shape of a horseshoe or oval. This design allows you to place the center of the table screens or decoration, because due to the size, the table will leave a space in the center. As the tables are of considerable size, it is very common to use microphones so that all attendees can hear well what the board members want to say. Usually gooseneck, wired or wireless microphones are used, although ceiling microphones are also used to provide a cleaner table. There are gooseneck microphones that contain a voting system in their base and can be operated through a small LCD display that will send results to a software so that they can be processed.

The main elements that make up this type of room are: screens, touch screens, tablets, section systems, speakers, microphones, automation and collaboration, electronic or intelligent glass, etc.

War Room

What is a War Room?

The War Rooms are designed for the visualization and monitoring of risks or emergencies in a country, state, or company, as well as the monitoring of people or properties affected by a situation. The main objective of these spaces is that users can centralize information on an emergency, request resources, plan and adjust responses or actions to be taken to make decisions and act in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

War Rooms can be used to monitor, declare alerts, activate a crisis plan and make decisions to respond to emergencies or disasters. In short, they are a necessary tool for coordination and effective response to a threat and/or emergency response.

Its main functions are:
- To share information between different institutions and elements that intervene during an emergency (Collaboration).
- Provide prompt and timely information to guide correct decision making.
- Develop response and action plans.

It is very common for there to be a War Room next to a Monitoring Center, given that in the operation while the Monitoring Center is monitoring any possible event that requires attention, when it occurs it will be escalated to the War Room so that the pertinent decisions can be made.

Due to the type of information that is handled in a War Room, it is very important that these spaces have a Collaboration System that allows the interaction between different spaces, sites, facilities or even Cities.

A good War Room has Videowall, screens, touch screens, touch panels, Collaboration and Automation Systems, CCTV centralization, audio and microphones.

Multi-purpose Rooms

From a small meeting room to a presentation room, these spaces integrate different audio-visual solutions, capable of integrating all of them in a single space. Its main feature is the flexibility to operate as a small room or to be reconfigured in different ways to end the layout of a larger room or even an auditorium.

Multi-purpose Rooms can be used as Meeting Rooms, Presentation Rooms, Training Rooms, etc.

These rooms must have a style that adapts to any need of the end user, and must integrate and collaborate with all the elements that make it up, such as: Automation of Audio, Video, Microphones, Curtains or blinds, screens, climate, lighting, etc.

Room Reservation System

Corporate offices now have multiple meeting rooms for workers to hold their meetings. As the number of meetings multiplies, the need arises for them to be scheduled in a calendar. Grupo Covix integrates solutions for Meeting Rooms, through which a user can set aside a room from a Web browser, making the Room remain set aside for a period of time. This system is complemented by a small screen that is installed outside the room, in which the status of the room is displayed, as well as the person for whom it is reserved, if applicable. The screen can be a touch-screen, so that the person who interacts with it can obtain more information from the Room or Meeting, as long as their user privileges allow it.

Brands such as Crestron, AMX and Kramer, specialized in automation and control of Meeting Rooms, integrate in their product catalog the Room Reservation System with the intention of achieving a total automation not only of Audio and Video, but also of the management of the room’s section.

Auditoriums

From small auditoriums to auditoriums for more than 600 people are developed and installed by our team of Project Managers and Technicians.

Audiovisual equipment in an auditorium is crucial to getting the presenter to convey the message to their audience. This will require that the audio and video that the presenter wants to broadcast be perfectly visible and perfectly audible to all attendees of the auditorium, from those in the front row to those in the back row.

For the video presentation, a large projector and front screen will be required, or a high brightness LED screen is much more advisable, especially in cases where the lighting of the auditorium is difficult to control. As for the audio, we will require from a microphone system for the presenter, to an adequate distribution of speakers, either in line array, speakers to ceiling, or speakers to wall/wall. Other systems such as simultaneous translation, teleprompters, sound booth, acoustic insulation, etc., are part of the audiovisual integration that makes it possible for Grupo Covix to provide turnkey solutions for first world auditoriums.
