There are different types of cables and the choice of each one will depend on the signal that you want to transmit from one point to another, from a source to a deployment point, output or receiver. Before choosing one, you must take into account existing distances, equipment, technology, bandwidth, signals, configurations, racks, etc.
Cables and connectors are the cornerstone of a good installation. They are the medium that will transmit the information, ensuring that it reaches its destination with the same quality as it was originally intended. Giving them the importance they deserve will result in the excellent functioning of all the equipment and solutions. Extenders

Extenders are devices that help us to carry a signal to more distant points without losing quality. Let's take as an example a digital signal that must be transmitted through an HDMI cable at a distance of 30 meters. HDMI cables have large connectors that hardly pass through ducts, in addition to being fragile and their signal begins to decline after a few meters. In this case the solution is to use video extenders , a transmitter is placed where we have the source and a receiver where the end point is located. Both extenders will be connected by UTP cable, which will be in charge of transmitting the signal. The UTP cable is easy to handle, easily passes through ducts and supports long runs, in addition to the fact that its connectors (RJ45) are small, and can be "punched", unlike HDMI ones. For longer distances, fiber optic extenders can be used instead of UTP. The quality of the cabling will be decisive for the distance that the signal will travel.
Since the transmitter extender (TX) amplifies the signal, it must be powered with electric current. In addition to the extenders, Grupo Covix implements all the necessary accessories to make any transmission problem transparent to the user, and to ensure that the signals are observed at the end point with the same quality as they were originated from their source.

Switchers

A switcher, also called a matrix router, is a device that routes input signals to certain outputs. It represents the most economical and traditional way of sending sources to one or more screens. There are switchers for all video formats, for example there are HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc. switchers, but not only that, there are also audio and other types of content switchers. Multiple sources can reach multiple screens but with the limitation that the switching is one to one, that is, only one source goes to each screen. With a switcher you cannot splice sources, or make a PiP (Picture in Picture), nor can you send more than one source per screen at a time.
A switcher is the way to save costs when you cannot invest in a Video Processor, which has more flexibility and versatility in its image handling.
